Since 1997, Dr. Westmacott and Carole, a Registered Nurse, have developed a specific focus on hormone imbalances, resulting in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy becoming an integral part of their treatment protocol.
Using extensive clinical experience, commitment to ongoing education, and an individualized approach, the Westmacotts guide their patients through necessary adjustments to regain hormone balance and improve their quality of life. They look at nutrition and judiciously use supplements (as maintenance and, when appropriate, in an Ortho-Molecular approach).
The Westmacott’s philosophy is based upon treating the whole person both horizontally and vertically. They believe this approach is necessary to ensure complete patient recovery and sustained health and wellness.
Dr. Westmacott graduated from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario in 1973. He went on to establish a large, rural, solo practice in Southern Ontario, practicing all forms of family medicine, including: office, on-call, hospital in-patients, emergency department and obstetrics - delivering more than 800 babies. Showing his commitment and dedication, Dr. Westmacott even made house calls!
While in Ontario, Dr. Westmacott furthered his patient care experience as Medical Advisor for Home Care in his county and as President of the Medical Advisor’s Association of Ontario. Dr. Westmacott is a practicing family physician and a member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta with acceptance from the College to practice Homeopathy.
Dr. Westmacott trained as a Homeopathic doctor at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital in London, England in 1998, where he achieved his MFHom (Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy). Since then, homeopathy has been incorporated into their practice at Ideal Health, including: classical, constitutional high potency, drainage and physical homeopathy. With Carole’s long history in patient assessment beginning in the Emergency Department of Victoria Hospital in London Ontario, as well as in the Family Practice setting, it has been a perfect blend for their patients. Carole also has a deep desire and commitment to assisting women in reaching their full potential in all aspects of their life. The Westmacotts made a conscious decision to combine the feminine and masculine principle in their understanding and treatment of each individual patient – which has proved most effective.
